Rasa caught a bug and ended up a little sick last week. She woke up Wednesday with a temp but virtually no other symptoms at the time. I wanted to be extra careful so we brought her in and had her tested for the flu which was negative. She did develop a cough the next day but was acting normally otherwise playing and running around. Friday night when we were putting her to bed she was getting fussy and I could tell she just didn't feel good. I was rocking Adia to sleep on the glider in the room and Royce was laying next to Rasa rubbing her back and trying to get her to sleep. Rasa was crying and getting louder by the minute. Out of nowhere she cried "Sissy, Sissy". Royce brought her over to Adia and I and Rasa calmed right down rubbing her head on Adia's. Adia reached out and patted her on the head as if to say "I'm right here". We did this two more times before Rasa finally let Royce move her away and put her down to sleep.
It was so sweet and so special for Royce and I to witness. The only thing Rasa wanted to make her feel soothed was her Sissy (a name they both call each other) and Adia happily obliged.
