The gift of insight

My dear friend came to visit me and the girls today. I don't get to see her nearly as much as I would like but when she comes her presence and insight stays with me long after she leaves. The main purpose of her visit today was to talk about business but we spent most of our time talking about raising a family, surviving with one income, getting creative with our resources and the importance of us, the parents, in our childrens lives.

One thing that's for sure is that no matter what type of parent you are you will periodically question if what you're doing is "the right thing". Sometimes, for whatever reason, you need a reality check from a friend that reminds you that you're doing the best thing for your family and that your sacrifices are worth more than anything money can buy. I have a refreshed perspective of what is truly important to me and what continues to be the best for my family.

I am so in love with my little girls.
